About Us

Stephanie Alsup, known in Texas as Chef Stephanie and creator of The Savory Artist and Cocochèr, began her career in catering via the art world. Classically trained as a scenic and portrait artist, Alsup enjoyed a professional career replicating old master’s works including murals and frescos. It has been said that the artist could duplicate a painting of the Sistine Chapel in two days.

After painting portraits throughout the world, Alsup opened multiple galleries in Dallas, Texas. A consummate perfectionist, she began planning and preparing imaginative appetizers and cocktails for her sumptuous art openings.

Never taking on a task without qualification, Alsup attended the Culinary School of America and Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts. Known not only for her delectable culinary creations, but also for her knowledge of wines, she honed her skills of pairing both savories and sweets with beverages that compliment the edible experience. Like Alsup’s paintings, each dish is a work of art.

With a stint as a fitness model, Alsup has maintained a health-conscious mantra researching foods that impact fitness and deliver optimum health benefits. This knowledge and focus contributed to saving her life when she had cancer. Getting down to 99 pounds made her take a dramatic step. She began baking with cannabis in order to control the nausea and to get her appetite back. Today Stephanie is healthy and fit with no signs of cancer. 

Having this life changing experience, Alsup committed herself to helping others in pain and to those suffering the effects of chemotherapy, autoimmune or neurological disorders.   

Alsup’s newest direction - edibles of lush chocolate truffles and beautiful desserts filled with Hemp CBD  isolates - to calm nerves, pain and nausea. Her extensive culinary background and passion for good health make her artisan treats not only therapeutic, but also scrumptious and artfully crafted.

Most importantly for Stephanie Alsup, a renaissance woman of unbridled talent, all of her hand made nuggets of healing are crafted with love.
